Structure and method

Note that in each move, you must decide whether or not to turn the transferring loop, the chart does not specify this.
The chart only specifies WHICH COLOR must be in upper position when the loop arrives onto its new finger.
When you have to turn the loop then the precise way it is turned is important!

A loop can be turned by taking bottom shank from below - I call this "Hook" and for short H.
A loop can be turned by taking top shank from above - I call this "Claw" and for short C.

For this planner there are 4 moves per cycle and for this planner turns (if necessary) must be made in a definite manner depending which of the 4 moves you are doing:

Why such detail?

Using HCHC gives a braid with a circular profile. THIS PLANNER
Using CCHH gives a braid with a square profile - and needs a different planner.
Using HHHH gives a braid with a domed or triangular profile - and needs another different planner.

Instruction reminder:

Each cycle has 4 operations with all unreversed (U).

On left hand: pull A left down through B left and C left
On left hand: pull C right through D right, D left and C left
On right hand: pull A right down through B right and C right
On right hand: pull C left through D left, D right and C right
