Composed using FingerTips Braid Designer by Gary Mitchell

This design is for the Nun's Book 10-loop letter braid.
The charts from this application are suitable for use by a single braider.
The method is based on that shown in a article by Ingrid Crickmore. on loopbraider.com
However the fell of this planner is number 6 in Joy Boutrup's book.
Each fell requires a different sequence of moves
.
See below for the sequence of moves for Fell 6.

Structure and method
The fell is #6 as shown on page 9.
The chart produced by this application can be used by two braiders. The method is similar but not identical to the method described in the simpler braiding method as described on page 56.
The same chart can also be used by a single braider. The method is similar but not identical to the method described in Ingrid Crickmore's article. The article includes links to Ingrid's YouTube videos on this braid. The method steps for fell 6 and a single braider are below on this web page.
Starting ideas
There are illustrations of historical letters for this braid on page 24.
The book does not have charts for page 24 letters using this fell (6) and method - but from the illustrations on page 24 you can compose the charts for fell 6 using this application.
The corresponding Braiding charts for historical letters and motifs are described in Appendix B on page 56 to 59.
There are more illustrations of historical letters on page 13. The book does not have charts in this style for page 13 letters using this fell (6) and method - but from the illustrations on page 13 you can compose the charts for fell 6 using this application.

Instruction reminder:

Each cycle has 8 operations with all unreversed (U).

This is a chart for Fell 6:

* loops are turned to have upper shank colours as indicated on chart before starting a braid cycle

* lift B up through A

* pull Th down through A

* pull B down through C

* lift D up through C

* repeat on other hand

* Exchange left over right

(If you want to take the loops as in Ingrid's video then you may find it more convenient to SWITCH to 10-loop Orange Chart == Fell 3 )

(If you want to take the loops according to shank colour then you may find it more convenient to SWITCH to 10-loop Yellow Chart )

(If you want to braid the loops according to verbal instructions then you may find it more convenient to SWITCH to 10-loop Bindloss Chart )

SWITCH to 10-loop Fell 2 Chart )

SWITCH to 10-loop Fell 7 Chart )
