Structure and method: The fell is #1 as shown on page 13. That fell #1 is used is also stated and illustrated on page 9.
This applications is for use with the simpler braiding procedure as described on page 45.
Starting ideas: There are illustrations of historical letters for this braid on page 13.
The corresponding Braiding charts for historical letters and motifs are described in Appendix B on page 46 to 48.
There are more illustrations of historical letters on page 24. The book does not have charts for page 24 letters using this fell and procedure - but from the illustrations you can compose the chart using this application.

Instruction reminder:

Each cycle has 8 operations with all unreversed (U).

* loops are turned to have upper shank colours as indicated on chart before starting a braid cycle
